edupool.ch is the most important quality label and the most important examination organization in Switzerland in the non-formal commercial further education.It develops offerings in the areas of basic knowledge, general commercial education and expert knowledge. edupool.ch consistently focuses on standardization and develops complete educational programs, from the learning content to the teaching materials to the final examinations.Close cooperation with industry and professional associations guarantees that the courses are aligned with the requirements of the labor market and ensures that the learning material is up to date. Teaching takes place exclusively at the approximately 50 accredited continuing education centers. To ensure that the quality standard is identical throughout Switzerland, final examinations are controlled in-house.
Initial Situation
Analog activities have characterized the entire process of exam management and execution at edupool.ch. Digital applications were used only sporadically in the organization, in the form of simple database or office applications.Exams were conducted in paper form, corrections were jointly hosted in rented facilities, and evaluations were conducted in Excel.This was time-consuming, cumbersome and had an increased error rate - a condition that could not be maintained in this way. Therefore, edupool.ch decided to modernize and get ahead of its competition in order to stay competitive. To do this, it needed a modern application for the entire exam management process that would provide improved options for staff and students and make processes more efficient.
Solution
Geared to the requirements of edupool.ch, the EduFox application was developed, which integrates and sustainably handles exam organization, implementation and follow-up in a holistic system. Educational courses, continuing education centers as well as candidate and employee profiles can be easily created and managed in the app - as can authorizations and access.
Exams are individually designed and composed directly in the application and can be assigned to educational programs as well as subjects.Events can be organized holistically and managed in the new app.Invitation management can also be handled via the EduFox application, so that edupool.ch always maintains an overview. Students can easily access event registration via the edupool.ch website, while the necessary data flows directly into the new system. This means that there is no longer any need for manual steps - everything is automated. Furthermore, students have the option to register in the app and take the exam digitally with a distinctive user interface. This can be done in an exam location under supervision or remotely regardless of location. Sophisticated AI-based exam monitoring ensures fairness and equality in the process.
The application enables edupool.ch employees to monitor the exam performance and to control it individually for individual candidates or for entire groups. The progress of the participants can be tracked and exam times can be easily adjusted in the app. Immediately after completion of the examination, the correction can be made in the app by the responsible specialists, regardless of location and in compliance with data protection regulations. The correction effort is reduced many times over through automation. Exam results are communicated directly to the students at the push of a button, and evaluations and statistics can be easily viewed by edupool.ch.
