Successful intranet relaunch at V-ZUG
For over 100 years, V-ZUG has been manufacturing and selling high-quality, innovative household appliances. As the market leader in Switzerland, the company offers a curated selection of premium products and outstanding service worldwide. With more than 2,000 employees, V-ZUG operates across multiple international locations.
Initial Situation
V-ZUG faced the challenge of replacing an outdated, no longer supported on-premise intranet solution based on Confluence. Migration was inevitable – but instead of opting for a simple transfer, V-ZUG deliberately chose a forward-looking fresh start.
The goals for the new intranet included:
- Building on a scalable, modern platform
- Seamless integration into the existing Microsoft 365 environment
- Strengthening internal communication
- Delivering high performance worldwide – from the Swiss headquarters in Zug to Australia
- Ensuring long-term expandability with features like AI agents
Solution
In close collaboration with isolutions, a SharePoint-based intranet platform was developed that impresses not only technically but also redefines internal communication. The platform centralizes all relevant information and replaces passive information sharing with active employee engagement.
Benefits
The intranet relaunch at V-ZUG was more than just a technical upgrade – it marked a strategic milestone. With the goal of future-proofing internal communication and optimizing global information flow, the new solution was designed holistically from the outset.
Three key success factors made the difference:
- Forward-looking data migration: Rather than a simple 1:1 transfer, existing content was carefully reviewed, streamlined, and purposefully enriched in close collaboration with business departments.
- Global performance: The new solution ensures a consistent, high-performance user experience – across teams and locations worldwide.
- Change management: New communication processes require change – and change needs preparation. Early and targeted change management enabled the organization to actively support and shape the transition.
The V-ZUG project leads also praised the strong, equal partnership with isolutions. The team stood out through their personal commitment, deep understanding of customer needs, and their ability to co-create the best possible solutions.
