Efficiency Increase of the Innovation Promotion Process thanks to individual Solution «Innolink»
Innosuisse is the Swiss agency for innovation promotion. Innosuisse mission is to promote science-based innovation in the interest of business and society. Innosuisse specifically promotes cooperation between science and the market with innovation projects, networking, training and coaching. The goal is the successful development of Swiss start-ups, products and services.
Initial Situation
As part of the digitization, the «Innolink» individual solution needs to be expanded into a platform. An end-of-life has been announced for the SAP R/3 base technology. As a result, the existing system landscape is to be replaced by a new technology by the end of 2023. At present, the specialist application Analytics is integrated together with Innosuisse‘s ERP system in an SAP stack. This creates complex dependencies in release planning as well as in the integration of new features. For this reason, it was defined that Analytics would be detached from the existing SAP ERP system and that the specialist application would be migrated step by step to a futureoriented technology.
Solution
isolutions, as one of the main partners of Innosuisse, advised the agency strongly in the various Azure Cloud services and provided technical and cultural support. The focus was on application operation and monitoring of the Innosuisse IT platform with various individual web applications, SQL reporting solutions and standard services such as CRM. A concept of new Azure services was also developed and implemented. Innosuisse also felt the need to expand collaboration and backoffice functions with standard Microsoft components. This enables the agency to accompany and support its customers from the idea for a startup to internationalization. The reporting needs of Innosuisse are diverse and range from simple number aggregations to complex financial reports and individual ad-hoc reporting.
