Patrimonium is an independent Swiss asset manager of alternative asset classes. Its core business is real estate and infrastructure investments as well as the financing of medium-sized companies. Today, Patrimonium and its affiliated companies manage around CHF 3 billion of assets for a large number of institutional and private investors. Patrimonium employs over 50 people in Echandens / Lausanne, Zurich and Baar.
Initial Situation
The client IT and on-premise server infrastructure had reached the end of its lifecycle. New solutions were evaluated: should they rely on previous on-premise technologies or consider moving to the cloud? The key requirements to be met by the new solution were scalability, flexibility, and the ability for teams to collaborate intelligently. Patrimonium chose cloud technology with the goal of providing your employees with a cutting-edge workplace.
Solution
Patrimonium‘s old devices were replaced with new ones and migrated to Windows 10. In addition, the entire Microsoft Office 365 suite including Skype for Business, SharePoint, Planner, Teams and more was implemented. The devices are managed and administered using Windows Intune. This ensures the security of the environment and easy maintenance. Thanks to this solution and the use of Office 365, there will be no need to purchase and maintain local IT systems in the future. Costand time-intensive hardware replacements are no longer necessary.
In addition to Microsoft products, Patrimonium also benefits from the Workplace as a Service model. The devices, the latest tools with premium support and license management are provided, managed and operated by isolutions. The company pays per month and per user. In this way, Patrimonium keeps costs manageable and has the flexibility to scale down or up each month. Continuous growth at the IT level becomes possible at low cost.
