isolutions takes over Innosuisse IT platform

For around three years, Innosuisse has been using the custom built «Innovation Funding» IT platform to manage funding applications. The agency itself classifies the application as mission critical, which makes its ongoing development essential.

After the previous service provider terminated its contract with Innosuisse, the relevant business unit of the former contractual partner was taken over by isolutions, according to a direct award published on the public procurement platform Simap. As a result, isolutions is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and further development of the core application. Financial resources of approximately CHF 3.2 million are allocated for these services.

Originally, Innosuisse relied on two separate core applications. Financial and HR processes were handled on a SAP basis, while a custom developed solution was used for managing the funding business. In 2022, both systems were consolidated into the «Innovation Funding» platform by the IT service provider Bedag. The application is based on .NET technology.

Innosuisse states in the Simap entry that the services provided by isolutions are currently limited to what is necessary to ensure the proper operation of the platform. At the same time, the award is classified as a time limited transitional procurement.

In parallel, Innosuisse is preparing a larger IT procurement as part of an open procedure, into which the services to be awarded will be incorporated.
