This is what you get up for in the morning:
- You take on complex requests in the Microsoft Azure environment and act as the technical point of contact for demanding customer requirements.
- You shape the digital future of our customers and develop modern cloud infrastructure solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- You are responsible for configuring, developing, and operating Azure platforms, with a focus on Compute and Storage, Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN/ExpressRoute), Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC, as well as Backup and Disaster Recovery.
- You plan and implement modern Landing Zone and security concepts based on CAF/WAF and ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of customer platforms.
- You build monitoring and alerting solutions – Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL queries, Alert Rules, and dashboards – and ensure that alerts are meaningful rather than simply noisy.
- You analyze and resolve complex incidents, support customers with technical challenges, and coordinate Change, Incident, and Problem Management activities with customers, vendors, and partners.
- You automate and optimize processes using Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps Pipelines and contribute to the standardization and continuous development of our services.
- You keep an eye on patch compliance, backup evidence, and your customers’ Azure costs and derive concrete improvements from this information.
- You participate in the on-call rotation and work with the team to ensure that our customers can rely on us outside regular business hours.
- You create technical documentation and operational concepts, maintain our knowledge base, and share your expertise through workshops, training sessions, and active knowledge exchange within the team.
We would like you to:
- You have completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Informatiker/in EFZ) or an equivalent qualification; further education at HF/FH level is an advantage or already planned.
- You have several years of professional experience as a Cloud or Azure Engineer and solid expertise in the Microsoft Azure environment.
- You have strong knowledge of Azure Compute and Storage, Azure Networking, Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC, as well as practical experience with backup and restore operations and Azure Monitor.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Git workflows and have successfully implemented demanding Azure and cloud migration projects in complex environments.
- You are confident working with PowerShell and Azure CLI and use automation and standardization specifically to optimize processes and services.
- Knowledge of Azure Policy and Governance, Azure Site Recovery, Cost Management, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud, as well as experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure DevOps Pipelines, or hybrid scenarios, is an advantage. Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or AZ-400 are a plus.
- You are willing to participate in the on-call rotation.
- You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, have a strong customer and service focus, and communicate confidently. You have excellent German and good English skills; French is an additional plus.
