Plannable Costs thanks to IT Operation by isolutions
The International Association for Research and Testing in Textile and Leather Ecology (OEKO-TEX®) based in Zurich was founded in 1992 with the mission of building trust in textiles, leather and their production: through increased product safety, improvement of sustainable production and transparent value chain. OEKO-TEX® is an association of 18 independent textile research and testing institutes in Europe and Japan and their global contact offices. The partner institutes are responsible for the joint development of the test methods and limit values on which the various product labels are based.
Initial Situation
OEKO-TEX® maintained an IT infrastructure that was no longer state of the art. Communication and knowledge exchange are central elements within the OEKO-TEX® community. In order to make this exchange even more efficient, OEKO-TEX® decided on the IT conversion together with isolutions.
Solution
With the introduction of Workplace as a Service from isolutions, OEKO-TEX® work devices and servers are now operated by isolutions. This makes IT costs fully scalable and easier to plan. Expensive investment costs for new hardware are eliminated and OEKO-TEX® always benefits from the most modern cloud services. Data storage was implemented centrally on SharePoint. Thanks to the services from the cloud, business data can now be accessed flexibly and regardless of location. Thanks to the cooperation with Sunrise, telephony was set up via Microsoft Teams.
